How to build a simple 4-20mA transducer circuit on Arduino. It's easy: add a 250 ohm resistor. If you want more protection for the Arduino, you'll need to add zener diodes and a 10k resistor to the Arduino analog pin. 🔥 https://teespring.com/SafetySquints_us

Your math is wrong. Your reasoning is also wrong.

To have 5V voltage drop (max that we can read) on 20mA current resistor should be 5V / 0.02A = 250Ohm

This video is wrong i think. R=V/I The calculation is 5V/.02A= 250 ohms Not 20V/.02A as this would give 1000 Ohms We need the 5 volts max for arduino input

The circuit's battery terminals are different at 20th sec and 3 min16th sec?

How do I write a script that will run or sleep my arduino based on the presance or lack of a small DC voltage applied to a designated pin? can anyone offer help on wiring a code to control the arduino with an external voltage? Do I need a voltage sensor and use an IF/ELSE statement? Heeeeelp 🙁 I can start my generator so far with the script i have, but im stuck on how to get it to start and stop automatically based on loss of mains power. (dc power supply)

Your schematic at 4 minutes 15 seconds is completely wrong! The analogue out and the ground are the wrong way around! Simple as that LOL

    Yeah, 24V/20mA is NOT 250 Ohms. 5V/20mA = 250 Ohms.
    Check your mathees surrr!!
