As a feller, who used to work for a company that made such darn things (tube in tube hitches). How old timers used to loose the moose: lubed er up with WD40, set a bolt/nut through the pin hole. And let the pneumatic hammer vibrate the darn thing on the lowest torque setting. Younger mechanics, they sometimes forgot to turn the torque value down…and turned a square tube into an egg.
Propane without extra oxygen is just a waste of time in my experience. You really need to heat it up to glowing point to drive out the H20 that is chemically bonded in rust.
