🤣 I’m sure that separator does a fantastic job. A small amount of water in the bottom and a rag suspended to the top of the separator works better for that type of dust 👌🏻
Dude, that cyclone is the ONLY way to do this! I had to hand grind 3,000 ft like this before the stand up grinders were available. I ended up running extra hoses out of the cyclone, out of a window and into a construction trash bag with water in it.
Get a box fan or two and stick some appropriately sized furnace filters on the intake side. Works in my day job. Small spaces with lots of dust. Quite inexpensive and keeps up better than a shop vac.

I tried that exact same disk with a Harbor Freight grinder. It lasted 3.8 seconds. And the first 3.4 seconds were before it touched the floor.
The vac shrouds work best when they still have the bristles intact.
Oh, I’ve just come in from cutting and grinding fibreglass. I bet the gritty taste is similar.
