I smoked a month old to me DeWalt bl drill that comes with that impact in a kit. First use drilling a half inch hole through a 2×4 Took it too DeWalt they told me I didn't buy it 6 months previous because the dates were from a couple years ago. I came back with my company receipt. They had a junk bin at the front of the store and I made sure the 5 other customers in the store knew the lady called me liar and chunked that POS in there bin. That read" throw away your junk tools and get DeWalt." I've spent about 10 k in the last 5 years not 1 penny has went to DeWalt.
That small little switch that adjust the speed and torque is a bag of shit tits. Iv gone through 2 of these drills and everyone iv met who has or had one after about a year good the switch fucks out. Bad design.
I have that same one and I break leg screws with it that impact is insane I’m actually sick of breaking leg screws believe it or not so I put it on the second setting
what you do is buy a new one…. keep the receipt …… wait a few days or when convenient….. take it back but with the knackered machine … they will offer a replacement or refund ….. take the refund….. happy days….
I remember the first brushless DeWilt the company bought didn’t work for long… it would just chatter after a while. Position sensor I guess…. expensive junk.. But of coarse there are always lemons in any brand.
@ave I have to ask…you mentioned Siemens. Are you a Siemens Engineer? Energy? I’m so intrigued
Wow, of the few battery tools I have, I actually own both of these and use em every day.

yep, we sent one in for repair and after 4 weeks i called, and they told me the turn around time was 8 to 10 weeks, a total waste of time.
The bottom of the battery should be the hammer, then you don't even have to change your grip.
🤣🤣🤣 so awesome
I had the crapsman version of this gun and the bearing in the Circuit board seized and wiped out the board. Only 3 months of use, Garbage.

Love your videos. Respect your work. May God Bless 🙏
What was the black schmoo on the sides of the clamshell near the fan exhaust? Shouldn't that NOT exist in a brushless motor?
Just stumbled across this guy's videos – wow! McLuvin it!
I killed my Dewalt brushless impact before my brushed one has shown any wear. Would you like to disassemble it for science?

My father prefers to use the bottom of the battery as a hammer. He still can't figure out why he goes thru so many batteries 😀

Mine did the same thing. Smacked the ass end of her on the workbench and back to work we went.
