An interesting mechanical failure that could have been eliminated with a couple extra grams of plastic. That's the difference between a home owner brand and a pro tool.

black & Decker is for older tools. The newer ones say Black + Decker. There's nothing really wrong with them if you want your tools and your lawn blower and string trimmer to all run on the same battery system and you like orange.

Those flex posts will fail fast if you use alot of downward pressure while sanding which reverts vibrations from the base to the internals instead of the target surface for said sanding.

Guess if you own all but one tool company you're free from "monopoly" regulations.

Not a big fan of the mouse.

Got one for 5 buck at a garage sale, I've bought several palm sanders this way and generally try them all in a few various hobbies and the mouse is easily one of the least effective sanders I've used.

Even the ryobi detail sander with a much smaller head has more uses in my book than this. For what I need, that large of a surface needs to be spinning, so I prefer a random orbital spinner style.
