In aviation, air drills are still extremely common. Battery drills are great, but as long as your compressor is functioning, you never have to stop while drilling rivet holes or chain drilling to make a tricky cut.

I use this process for metal stitching.
My dad needed to remove an old cast iron bath tub that was on a second floor. He chain drilled it all the way around and hit it with a sledge hammer to have it break along the drilled line. Worked like a charm.

Couldn't find a longer drill? You wouldn't get through as many pages in your girly mags but less z per peck and more load per flute will speed that up exponentially
