I had high hopes for this Bosch tool. The double duty 1/2" drive and 1/4" hex is a stroke of genius. The warm glow is short lived after a peak inside. Thank you for helping me make more VJOs. Early access here http://www.Patreon.com/AvE

Itโs pretty weak๐ข
My old 18vlxt makita same size was far far stronger
Just your average Canadian ๐
TIME.. shit i may have time travelled
Well cnc machined working parts……. That matters the most …… Bosch….. Still best
3 years later, im still using the same bosch impact i got before this video came out. Dropped, wet, thrown, you name it. Yes im a contractor, install windows, doors, etc. Batteries last pretty long. Im running older style and newer core and the new new procore. Either way the drill is still going. ๐
Maybe BT ( if torq setting accurate?) to tighten bolt to specific tension. Easyer/cheaper to do in software vs mechanical
That seems to be on the higher end of the "prosumer" tool bracket.
I knew as soon as there were multiple ladder drops this tool was going into the trash in the end!
Makita has a similar system The drill pairs with the dust collection system, So the vacuum knows exactly when to chooch
I just recognized the lines on your right hand thumbnail. I know what those are because I've smashed a fingernail or three ๐.
Jeysuus your commentary made my day. Thank you very much.
borsch? no I think the idea of IOT/IOS tends to be an Idea A-BORSCH-ON
some things make sense, like security cameras and spotlights to scare the shit out of and prevent hiding of intruders, but a drill? a lightbulb? it tends to get stupid when you are either too lazy to turn off/on the light, and ridiculous when you adjust your thermostat more than once per day, and then it just doesn't need the "I" in IOT at all, just a simple scheduler program that should not have literally any wifi at all
and a drill app is just completely stupid, torque/speed should be a 100% direct interface on the tool, there is no excuse for an app to do what drills have been doing since before cordless tools with anything other than the tool itself with no app at all
the app can be 100% optional(like if you have a strange custom tuned torque curve that torques a bolt to one setting, rests, then another setting, rest then a third to get rid of any quirky issues of physics.
but a thermostat doesn't need wifi to have a simple "between xx:yy zz and xx:yy zz tune to setting b, otherwise set to setting a"
lights don't need unicorn cum colors, one setting you pre-tune and the vast majority have nothing more than "brighter, dimmer, on/off"
IOT is just ridiculous in so many ways
IOS actually stands for "internet of shit that should never have been put on the internet"
like why the fuck does my drill need wifi/bt? there is literally no goddam reason to need a phone or internet to bust a nut, ever, at all
maybe the BT speaker that wastes the tool batteries charge needs bluetooth but there is no excuse to add bt when all you need is a trigger, and a reversing switch
IOT culture is literally modern day cancer, it is a movement that actively will kill people, and more likely jobs, because the fucking tools end up using rental DRM when you own the goddam thing and the companies have no right to turn it off when you say "on"
if it has wifi and has no sensible reason to have wifi I will rip out the wifi and hack the cpu to force it to ignore the wifi being murdered
my window AC makes sense because I visit family a ton so being able to reduce cooling when I am not home to suffer being too hot and pre-chill when I go back is a boon
but why does my fucking light bulb that is only ever used in "on" or "off" need wifi? just cut the power lines like we have done since the turn of the last century, ditch the wifi lights
now maybe with RGB mood lights for your tv you need wifi, maybe the dimmable setups, but a common on/off light has literally no reason to have wifi, plus all the wifi lights have subscriptions, a FUCKING subscription to turn on the lights is literally worse than anything hitler ever did
