Content idea: specialized e-bikes motors from โ€˜19-โ€˜21 fail, Iโ€™m on #4. Warranty will be expiring soon When my belt failed, it was the gasket was rubbing and heating. Now the sprauge clutch is gone. Need some tooling to press in n out. I can send you a motor. Or try to buy one w a shot motor. You would love awesome when it works. I bought a 2000 watt Luna X2. All chineesium. But awesome. All the brands need to be Taken A part. TQ has cycloid gear.

I am in need of some Town Pump CNC services. How do I proceed? I have a Fusion360 model all ready to go. Thanks!

A year late, but just catching up to this video, and all I can say is this: You're a good dude. Thanks for picking up the flag and carrying it instead of bitching about the handle being splintery.

what's the estimate on per-hour cost of that thing, including the time it takes you to operate it? edit: i mean, order of magnitude… is it in the tens, hundreds or thousands of dollars?

Well, I'll be damned. I found your channel after it was mentioned by Matt at The Workshop, and I started by watching a few random newer videos, even a couple what this machine was featured in, but I just assumed you had access to it through your job or something. Then, a few months ago I went back and started watching most of the videos from the beginning, and now I'm at this one, and holy shit, that's fucking awesome. I just started a new job cutting chips that should pay the bills quite nicely once I catch up with the old ones that piled up while waiting to start said job, but once I'm where I need to be, I'll happily start throwing some cash into the hat each month. I had already made the decision to do that anyway, but this video would have changed my mind had I not.

This is a tremendously worthy cause. There are a good number of us who
maintain and repair Teletype gear. There are parts that are unobtainium,
never to be found again. These parts were manufactured with technology
of the era, which was from the 1920's on. Upon that same technology the 5
axis CNC came to be, so it would be NOTHING for the 5 axis to take this
on! Please- advocate for CuriousMarc and all those who support,
restore, repair and maintain it so that the coming generations know from
whence their tech came from! Do so now!

I am here to not only support CuriousMarc's request for a helical gear, but to appeal the same. He and I represent a small but loyal group of folks who keep these wonderful old Teletype machines alive and running well. Some of the parts we need for regular TTY operation at 45.5 baud (60 WPM) are almost unobtainium now. The gear he speaks of is no longer available- even with careful salvaging. Your praises would deafeningly echo throughout Geek Valhalla (yes there is one) for all of Eternity if you were to take up our simple but sincere cause- the maintenance of ancient technology lest future generations lapse into blissful ignorance of the wisdom of the Forefather Giants of whom their tech stands upon. The ownership and command of a 5 axis CNC has lifted you to almost godlike status. I appeal to you to take up our cause as a modern-day Hephaestus or Vulcan- god of forge and fire- and be lauded as you should be!
