Is it heat resistant?
best advice i ever got for working with denso is keep you hands wet
They wrap gas mains in this when they're leaking. Stops the leak and then they fuck off.
Cosmolene bandages
Next best thing to stainless steel leaf springs 😉
Petrowrap made in Canada is the same, easier to work with cutting it in smaller pieces and working it into the grooves so there is no air. And to clean it off of you and the your choice of utensil for cutting it, WD40 breaks it down and dawn cleans that right off, without the wd40 you’ll be washing and spreading it all over everything.
denso tape is archaic in corrosion protection.
Just used some to fix a huge leak in the warehouse pipework from the roof.
Also used to wrap leaf springs to make them stiffer and stop rust.
I agree its disgusting stuff!
Pro tip, we use it on underground power cables in the UK for temporary ends, keep the cables live even submerged fully under water the stuff is great. Now for the tip…. after you apply it heat it up with a gas gun and run your hands over the overlaps it goes smooth as a beavers but hole and keeps the water right out!! Messy though
Thanks Buddy!!
DO NOT HANDLE DENZO TAP WITHOUT PROTECTIVE GLOVES!!!
It’s a known carcinogenic, I work in the U.K. oil and gas industry. Just don’t handle it without gloves.
Came here just after using it for the first time covering up a big crack in a drain pipe "T". It does look awful but it's sticks very well.
Can this drip? Like give off condensation / it’s own water in certain temperatures. As I’ve applied mine to a toilet pipe leak, and it’s still
Wet in places and at times causes a trickle of itself. Any help?
Innocent product placement. I thought you'd never sink that low!
