https://www.cnn.com/style/article/clear-wood-architecture/index.html A patron asked me if this was BS, so I took a stab at it. It's interesting that a common process in the papermaking industry would be written up as a completely novel process by "Tech Science" websites. The concept works, but the process and applications need more details.

Why wouldnt the glass industry focus on making glass through this way instead? Thinking of the global lack of sand..?

I actually can appreciate the "failures"
I can appreciate it because of the time dedicated to it.
I am not a chemist or even into chemistry, though I have on occasion mixed all kinds of things together just to see if I could get some kind of action, reaction, random interaction but never got any satisfaction 🙂 I had to borrow a few line from the great and wise Neil Peart

LMMFAO @ Richard Pryor setting himself on fire not because he was making the crack , he set himself on fire because he ran out of crack cocaine and doused himself in his bed in rum .

Pull the vacuum to purge the gas out. Then you have to release the vacuum before it cures. You can then put it under pressure as it cures
