I use the 'ol Torquestruct-o-matic 69 to break bolts. I learned:
Good Quality Grade 8 bolts can handle 200-250% rated torque.

Since that wrench is only 8.5 inches at the point of pressure, your numbers would be off by 30%. Did you factor in the fact that the wrench was not 12 inches long at the point the pressure was applied?
Never heard of anyone replacing brake caliper bracket bolts, and if those break someone can definitely die. However they're usually quite skookum for the application. Often m12 or m14 fine thread and aren't torqued much past 80 ft lbs, or 4 to 5 ugga duggas.
@AvE How about a vid comparing different screw head types and the amount of torque they can take. Flat, phillips #2 or #3, torx, square, etc.
🇸🇪
I never pictured you as a conch blower. How much bourbon does it take to get the taste out?
In topdrive system we torquing bolts up to 1200psi which is normal 😂
How much torque to strips threads?
Is there a video on that there bolt Torquestructomatic 69 machine you built there?
That is a hgdraulic torque wrench in there but it almost sounds like you are running it on an air system?
I could very well be wrong on that though
Uses the word conchoidal, missed opportunity for remarks about coitus…
Can u do a shear test on gr5 vs gr8 1/2 bolts? somehow with your fancy machines? wd settle quite a few arguments on the forums-
I broke torque on my wife's ass last night💩😭💪
If a lug nut bolts were over torqued how many days or weeks before it breaks off?
You should compare the strength of various classifications of bolts from harbor freight/Home Depot as compared to others, I’m very curious if the water cooler gossip about harbor freight and Home Depot bolts being inadequate for automotive use, especially like grade 8/class 10 & class 12 etc for horizontal weight bearing use like in transmissions
When you bust a nut, look for post-coital benchmarks and sheared lips. Got it.
