I'm getting ready to buy a DEWALT Rotary Hammer Drill with Shocks, D-Handle, SDS, 1-1/8-Inch (D25263K)
Sub 200 clams and I want to use it for making a hole in concrete to let a Catalpa have some room. It started growing in a crack about 7 or 8 years ago and it's 20 feet tall in a good place for shade and aesthetics. The slab was cracked when I bought the place but then that's another story. Maybe the Hammer Drill will open opportunities and options.
Thus far in research, it seems pretty good for a home gamer who's broke.

You missed the best part of using an air hammer, when you decide you're gonna try and use it as a wedge and go to far and it gets stuck, so you fight with it for the next 30 mins trying to get the damn thing out, before you finally have to go find a proper wedge and hammer, worm the thing around your already failed attempt and stuck tool and do the job like you probably shoulda started in the first place…air hammer, not a wedge, except when it is
