That was the problem with corona, they had a lot of those safety things there, but if only we would have put our dick in the vise. Hurts a little but at least I am safe. Sorry just showed back up on my feed and had to have some fun with it.
When you don't have left hand drill bits and you break a bit off trying to hand drill out a bolt under a fender. The bolt holds the fender on, so you want to use the same nut that is welded to the car… you got to use another drill bit & repeat and break that in the partial hole(and another) and now I hand drilled the rusted old bolt approximately through the center . Then went from 1/8 to 1/4 to 10mm? and then used an Easy Out and broke that in the hole, so needed another 1/8" drill bit to drill out the easy out(I think I used 2 as I broke another 1/8" drill against the easy-out) before I could drill through the center (approximate) as I am still under the fender of the car. This time I got up to 11mm so cut off most of the old thread. Still able to chase it with a tap to thread it enough to bolt on the fender. . Next time I will invest in an acetylene torch and heat the metal red hot to get out the RUSTED bolt shaft. Cold drilling hardened steel by hand is B.S. VW fender is held on by 10 bolts and breaking off a rusted bolt head is no fun. You need a bunch of 1/8 pilot hole drill bits. Left hand drill bits won't work and just cost EXTRA. . That is, unless you got a better way AVE? I would like to hear it.
Starrett. If they make the tool and you use that tool. Buy it. Youll never regret it.
Reamers.

There's just one problem with trying to instruct people about drilling.
They refuse to listen and will do it the wrong way until they die.

Always sad seeing some of the old names in the hands of corporate penny pinchers. Presto used to make some good drills.
