Let's have a look at a Made in American Dremel from the 70s. It's pretty beefy, but demonstrates how much better modern tool motors are. ✪►https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/464202928/one-rule-to-ruler-them-all-cheeky-jokes◄✪

Smoky Joe camel strikes again. Lol
Yeah, it's Ray-seen. I was born and raised there and as a matter of fact I'm sitting in my old stompin' grounds right now. I worked at In-sink-erator for a short time which was right across the street from Dremel in those days. I think they were absorbed by Emmerson at some point and I don't know if they still make 'em here or not.

On the Western shore of Lake Michigan, between Milwaukee and Chicago, there are two major cities that were filled with smoke stack industries back in the day. Kenosha ("ku-NO-shuh") and Racine ("ray-SEEN"). Kenosha was the home of Nash which became American Motors/Jeep (now gone elsewhere) and Racine is the home of Johnson Wax, and is also still the home of Dremel. I actually went to the service counter once for a part, back before the interwebs turned everything into credit cards and shipping.
