Simply grab some old pan heaters to stick under metal workbenches. That way you don't have to heat the whole shop just so your hands aren't freezing.

You might get yourself one of those magnetic oil pan heaters what for stickening to your workbench or whatever needs some thermal choochfactor.
That must be the DewCLaws FLIR Camera, cause if you can't afford to put a wee bit of heat in the shop, you sure as shit can't afford a FLIR.
This can be kept on by getting an electric thermostat and attaching it to the desk. Set it to however warm you want your desk and it's done. Unplug it at the end of the day of put it on a timer. EZ
Something I learned from daughter when she was doing glass lampwork near 0F in the garage: put one of those chemical handwarmers on top of your head under your hat. Really, it works.

My 2 dollar solution was a 200 watts incandescent bulb with "optional" dimmer , fixed beneath the table where my cats love to sleep . Win win win situation you get light , heat , and save electricity
