just thinking about this video if the saw was plugged in something only producing 30 hz in stead of 60 hz , would it run at half the speed ?

Been using this thing in our home shop for a couple years now. Still works great, granted I don't use it everyday. But I'm thinking the plastic is to protect against dust migration. I leave mine strapped to a table edge and its always covered with dust on top
