A quick demo on how to dress a twist drill with minimal tooling.
This is not the ideal way to do it, but it'll getch'a a hole where a hole needs being.

You clever canuk!
how do you do it with small bits like 1.5 mm?
you actúally know the way to save and even improve the biting point of a bit..it’s great till your eyes give up the ghost.
Lmao you have to keep perspective. You’re talking about comments who were made by the mouth-breathers buying items they saw on an infomercial at 3am and are now the proud owners of a drill doctor set to fix the cheap chinesium drill bit that cost them one hundred thousandth of the price of the Doctor. It’s the fallacy of doubling down on a mistake otherwise you have to admit you made one. Or admit that you’re not the brightest bean in the burrito. Nobody who purchases these things will even Know they ever made a mistake, let alone admit it <3
Everyone’s gotta criticize but it’s probably the same people that keep voting little Fidel jr back in to power every 4 years and identify as he her
Focus you fuck gets me everytime😂
LMAO I learned from watching and then trying. After you do it several times it gets easier. But once they see you do it suddenly everyone wants you to sharpen them.
You may be Canadian but you talk just like my uncle. I could sit down and shoot shits over a two four any day!
Great video
The words you are say are english words I think but I still have no idea what the hell you're say half the time! 😂😂
Im with you brother….so simple to sharpen bits with anything that will grind the metal…..belt sanders included…..bought a drill dr and after following the instructions proceeded to molest several perfectly good drills…….and sharted a good set of boxers…….the D Dr is the stuff of after hour infomercials……period…..!!! …its right up there with the Ron Popeil Bass-O-Matic Blender…..lol
Never learned right…but I could grind a bit to cut through aluminum rivets like butter, even twice as fast as a proper grind would do. If I had to drill steel…I got a new bit from the tool crib….and kept it away from butcher activities until it got dull….then it was my next grinder victim. BTW…they were all small diameter drills…..I just learned they should have gone in the trash. Somehow I already knew deep inside. Edit: You can have uneven flutes if you are good at steering the bit while you drill…it doesn't seem to affect the cutting ability in soft materials. I'm not sure my edit is an actuall piece of useful information….just an observation.
Instructions unclear. Ground meat down to the bone.
