To start with my credentials like a goof: I used to sell DOW against BASF into Fortune 500 companies(I was coatings/adhesives division vs plastics) but that gave me this prideful bias against BASF to the point that it’s now basically synonymous with FORD, and ya know what they say about them – fuckin owners real dumb lol. I have absolutely no substantial reason to dislike BASF quality-wise, but they are a sworn enemy nonetheless😂

My spyderco is powdered metallurgy and it holds up pretty good, wouldn't a gear set be fairly stout?

Gear set failure is most common failure. We use them for diamond grinding concrete and glue removal for polished concrete and epoxy coatings. Great tool decent price just not a fan of the newer trigger handle how it sloops down at the rear.

AVE, as a prosumer the Makita 6” was the grinder. However they have substantially shit the bed in recent years. The triggers always shot the bed damn near immediately. Replacement triggers are something like $50. You can fix em yourself but you have to break the casement. I’ve seen everything fail on them, so I don’t buy em anymore and I’ve got my company away from them as well. I believe the best grinder in the market is the Dewalt DWE43116 6” angle grinder. Haven’t had any failure with it yet. And what I’ve heard is the first thing to go on them is the brushes, from wear the way it should be! If you could review one of these I’d love it. Also they have a 6” corded brushless model aswell. Also extremely nice

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James Timmins says:

Makita and Dewalt tools are lightweights compatible to Metabo ! Metabo is the only angle grinder that allows you to remove the flap wheel or stone by decelerating tork ! All other grinder brands locking arbor pins break off !
