It's a straight blowback weapon, as a result the mass in the bolt is specific to the delay required to ensure that the chamber pressure has dropped to a level where it won't rupture the case on extraction.
The reason that part of the mass is designed to be mobile is because it's a bolt bounce protection. When the bolt is being pushed forward, one of the biggest risks is that the bolt closes on the chamber, the hammer is dropped and the bolt bounces off the face of the barrel extension, causing an out of battery detonation. the coupling to the recoil spring and the fact that the additional mass can free float back without the bolt moving backward… It's sort of like a dead blow, but with a single big chunk 🙂
Also, an extractor extracts the case from the chamber, the ejector ejects the case or cartridge from the bolt face, once the ejection port is available. The springy clippy thing you had was the extractor and the fixed pushy thing in the receiver was the "fixed ejector". There are two common types of ejector, plunger ejectors and fixed ejectors… Plunger ejectors tend to be used on rotary bolt systems, are fixed in the bolt face with a little plunger and spring, and fixed seem mostly to be used on delayed or straight blowback weapons, or on big stuff 🙂

I own and love this gun, but you're only going to get about an extra 100 feet per second out of a 9mm round with a 16.1" barrel. The fluting is mostly for heat dissipation. My heat strap swivel is at a perfect 90 degree angle. A bit Nicky picky on the maching. The magazine is a lot tighter when the gun is fully assembled. It has a very good trigger. It's a great gun.

The only reason they limit how much firepower we have is not because of shootings it’s to take away our protection from them. The government does not care about crime. Look at Chicago in the states. They literally don’t charge gang members for shooting in the streets.

You guys shouldn’t have ever let them start now look what they idiot is doing to y’all’s amazing country. If we had the balls of our founding fathers we’d fix this bullshit.

You should do a review of old manufacturing, like guns for ww1

The tungsten block inside the bolt is to ADD WEIGHT wo the bolt could be shorter and reciprocate faster than an all steel bolt which would have to be longer for the necessary weight.
All in all RUGER does have a high quality firearm using good materials with a few exceptions like the stamped extractor. ( I replaced mine with an M*CARBO machined extractor made from hardened steel.
