We have a look at a consumer grade inverter. Thanks for helping out with the shop beer fund! A warm glow and early access here http://www.Patreon.com/AvE

This isn't the true sine model. I have the Eliminator 1kw true sine, bought in 2017, and the labels are basically the same. It doesn't say true sine on it, but it does say digital, which of course means nothing.
Are sure you were scoping the actual output of the inverter? That looked totally unfiltered. Even a rudimentary filter system would fix that awful step waveform.
Not accurate on connecting the leads backwards. You are correct on the body diode, but I have connected them backwards and it just blew the massive array of fuses. Hell of a spark, changed fuses and she chewched again
Aw poo, now I just gotta know how sine my EATON UPS really is too, they really should be forced to include waveforms for all inverter equipment in the manuals / documentation. It would be sweet to know if you got that pure sine or pure sin wave inverter! Seems good a reason as any to actually buy a scope tho right, right?!

I cringe every time you put your hand near those bare components!!!
Interesting, as in innovative, transformer design.
What happens if you connect there something like an "asyinchronus motor pump" or whatever would have an "asynchronus motor"?
What a "sun of a beaches"!
You must go to some "Customer Protection Agency", it does not even remotely seem as a "modified sinus wave"…

What about stuff that steps down to DC . The power supply filter the noise?
The magic smoke. Hahaha
That diode cascade is a hot mess, everyone knows diodes don’t current share well. And that has to be the crustiest boost transformer I’ve ever seen!

H-Bridge. Yes.
awsome, great comparison between AC/DC i always thougt they sounded the same…🤣
