Cheap shocks don't have a lockout because loads are a lot higher when you bounce your ass on a locked shock than if it still allows some oil to circulate. Back in the days lockout functions were very rigid, like a 100% lockout. you won't find that today for the same reason.

Buy cheap buy twice Mr Ve. Just recovering from Xmas dinner here. Ya should of stumped up for a better bike. Like ya didn’t pay enough already 😅
Although early ones that’s how they were. No? Kashima does feel Moore glidey to the touch and their forks are more buttery at the top. Weather that’s valving or lack of stiction, or just the shiny thing magpie effect I don’t know

That "resonation" as you called it is known as hysteresis: it's the echo of work having been done and represents wasted energy. Even when very small, it does negatively affect the continued operation and long-term reliability of the part.

This guy is what happens when genius gets boredom and goes looking for another reasonable explanation for why sh!t werks. The F! Big Guy made us all different and the angle of Ave's dangle to completely understand so many different subjects so thoroughly…. puts me on my ass.

The oil in the damper is nitrogen pressurized to keep the oil from cavitating.

But your not paying $2000 for the kashima coating, you are paying for adjustable high speed and load speed compression, adjustment, high and low speed rebound adjustment, larger stantions better valving and stiffer crown profiles. Anyone that seriously wants to learn about suspension should check Steve's Vorsprung channel.
    Watching this was painful.
