I put the Festool basket case back together and get out the heart monitor to see how this thing works.

Honestly festool is overpriced plastic, can’t justify forking out that kind of money just for a name brand. Feel the same about Kreg. I’ll stick to my 15 year old $80 Bosch

I imagine that each RPM setting is not incremental like 1:1000, 6:6000 because the specific RPMs might be rated for different materials/thicknesses and it makes adjusting to those easier.

Dude this goes FAR beyond what I understood. But it's fascinating nonetheless. It used to be that I didn't understand the mechanical build breakdown vijeyos. But after a couple dozen I got to most of it. I'm hopin' I can't ingest some of this electronical brainsauce through osmosisaztion as well.

Wouldn't the heat affect the magnets that are used to monitor?

Hi Ave, have enjoyed your videos for a lot of years and never made a comment before. Just felt the need to say that was an awesome demo of resistive vs inductive loads and power factor. My (now ex) partner is an electronic engineer and it took him a couple of hours and a whole stack of scribbles on paper to explain that to little old me, the electronic dingus.

I just checked. That Festool TS 55 costs around €400. Same price as a Makita or Bosch pro equivalent

Just found your channel. Loved the tear down, build analysis and electrical tests. You mentioned a follow up video on the ts55 but I can’t seem to find it. Wish you had one of the low cost track saws (ex. WEN) to do the same and compare.
