Bored of Lame Tool Reviews? In this nerdly-teardown, we'll review the electrical components of Hilti's TE-6 Cordless 36V li-ion rotary hammer. We'll share a few laughs and then attempt to re-assemble and test. The usual fuckery ensues. If it all works out; we'll determine if the high price and good reputation of the Hilti Brand is well earned.

We all know these vids run on love, but my good looks don't buy near as much HPHT as they used to. If you enjoy the vid and want to help, please consider tossing a few bucks into the hat!

Errata: Kip is 1000 lbs not psi. (Woopsie, gave the metric fanboys more ammo). Thanks Grady!
Switch is not a simple on/off, so likely doesn't have to be as chunky. Thanks Mike!

The hilti turns pretty slow compared to a grinder I'd imagine probably explains a lot. She's definitely all hammer

From my experience maybe one out of a thousand is able to learn basic skills . Had to run employment ad year round in the Mexican paper , and L.A. times . Over ten years of hiring 3-4 employees I got out of thousands of applicants . And it's not that they come in with zero knowledge. Every one of them claimed to be a expert. Special skilled . Lol
Just as dirty as an old muffler bearing lol
that type of connector certainly isnt ideal for high current situations, especially in dirty environments, it only needs to get hot enough to lose temper once n unless its taken apart n cleaned at the very least, its only a matter of time till that connector will shitself till it corrodes or breaks itself off right there
Was told years ago from a talented mechanic that screws or others parts left over are PLO'S. Yep parts left over. Great vid
Do not understand all the great #'s you bring up on plastic parts. While doing some electrical work in a plastic injection plant picked up some clear pipe straps made from lexan. Used to bet guys they could not break one with 3 blows by ball pen hammer of their choice. Had at least a dozen takers and nobody could break one. Multi makes great tools but price scares away most people.40 years ago I needed a 2.5 or 3' long 1/2" hammer drill bit. Hilton guy wanted something like $200 for it. Had a mecahanist cut a hammer drill bit and bevel cut portions then had him chuck it in lathe and had welder welder the 2' long piece of round stock. Only needed it to drill a few holes.
Yes Hilti hails from Liechtenstein. So its basically Swiss 🇨🇭
