Seeing as you fixed your Kill a Watt, I am curious how good the RMS AC voltmeter is in those? I let the smoke out of a UPS today while changing the battery. Two 40 amp fuses (in parallel) and some foil. A big surge from a 12AH battery. So I was checking the output voltage and to my embarrassment I lack a true RMS voltmeter to read the modified square wave. Then it occurred to me that I have a Kill a Watt meter and it must have some wonderful properties. Indeed it reads about 115VAC where my "averaging" voltmeter says 85-90VAC.
Remember those pennies made of copper valued at $0.01? I guarantee they'll take out a 50 cent fuse in the Caddies fuse box. Way more than a few times. Oh, and that magic smoke smells bad. Usually the first clue.
As a retired electrician, federal pacific "breakers" will burn your house down. If that bullshit is in your house, replace it asap. Call a certified electrician, not a job a homeowner wants to take on. Like my dad said, cover your ass. If you do the swap and your house burns down, insurance will not cover it.
I would rather watch your videos where you tell it like it is. I hope to one day find something to make videos about. Thank you for all the great videos that you do put out. Please be safe out there.
Don't ever change your style . Im glad to see a newer video . Im sorry that I havent been hitting the like button very often , Every video is a thumbs up.. And educational its a win win
Federal stablok… Horrifying. Those got outlawed in the states in the 80s. I lived in a house with one of those breaker boxes and had several that took way way way more current than they should before tripping.
To those that want you to "bleep out" your colourful linguistics…. Can promptly put their own dick in a vice. A nice Kurt machinist vice would do the trick.
You forgot the paprika.

It'll be fine, solder works as a thermal fuse anyway, right? right?
