Has anyone had issues with vfd functionality at cold temperatures? I had one change rotation on a 3 phase pump. The temp was -10 Fahrenheit. I didn't know that was possible. Changed around two legs to temporary fix it until the weather changes.
I am forever having customers ask me to repair these things, and while yes, it's a cheap part, many many MANY of them (especially 'modern' fancy ones) are often loaded with parameters and even proprietary code that is super specific to the machine the drive was part of! "Oh no," says the customer, "I don't have any record of what those are. Can you work them out?" And then we tell them the price for that plus a new drive, and they circle back around to asking if we can fix the old one…
Then my job is finding somewhere to attach 3.3vDC to power up the logic board and extract the parameters off the things. Either that actually repairing the little monsters.
On your phone blanking when you're trying to do stuff like this, here's how you fix that: Go into settings, then into developer options, and there should be something in there to fix it. On my Moto it's "Stay Awake: Screen will never sleep while charging." I haven't used my Samsung POS for a good long while so I don't remember what it's called exactly, but it's in there, and pretty similar…
Oh yeah, the snot is Beryllium. Known carcinogen in the state of California. I found out after years of licking it off my fingers and wiping it on my pants. You order 1 or 2 and that's what you get. You order 10 of them and they send you the whole box where all the nasty warnings happen to be written.
When the pixies can’t get out, they assplode.

Of course it broke, it's an AC Tech. Worked on those things for six years and they can burn in hell.
Where did you purchase this for $200? I'm having trouble finding it for under $400
It's always a treat especial when AvE posts a new video.
