I'll show you how a basic valve is a logic element, same as in electronics. Open center valve is for gear pumps (fixed displacement). Closed center valve is for piston pumps (variable displacement). 4/2 means four way (4 oil connections) and 2 positions. I'll also go over some basic troubleshooting in general terms and some do's and do-not-do's.
I'm really surprised how much steam and hydraulics have in common even though I shouldn't be
Would a non contact thermometer give you a clue where your blockage or cavitation causing slow actuation
Love it. Absolutely brilliant. And the humour is great too. Thanks for adding laughter to my day, AvE.
Love this guy, new most favorite channel, laugh my fucking ass off and pound some occasional knowledge. Entertainment and learning right here 💯👍😎
In my 20s, some odd 20 yrs ago I got to operate some good sized equipment then learned how to fix it after too many hot supers. Really cool to be brought back to simpler times. Thankyou for the education AVE
I've not been able to find video for us cheap lads who wants to put two or three hydraulic valves connected together for our hodgepodge crap that we've fabricobled to work properly could you do video explaining it for the common guy?
the pilot pressure is like a 5v signal voltage. coolbeans.
Ok? Always verify. When did you ever (intelligently) buy something marked ok ? (And it was…)
Do be aware of heat buildup on pixie controlled valves(solenoid). they can get hotter than the other valves especially around the coil and be ok.
Ever get your hands on any glycol pumps per chance. I'd like to see ya tear one of those down
Why is this the voice of a young Walter White?
Just make the damn thing the way the schematic reads. Why screw around and assemble it backerds.?
Could you return to trouble shooting and diagnosising a hydraulic system that has a new symptom: sound change ie loud whining and load sense. Can't seem to wrap my small brain around he cause or picturing this in my mind. The dam light between my ears doesn't light up. Thank you continue with these videos their great .
Ingesting the schematic one bite size chunk at a time. Thank you teacher. Brain wrapping moving slowly but it damn sure be gettin there
Sir,I need ur help i didn't understand one spare part in our machine i have photo can you tell me what is this and what is the procedure of this part and how i sending this photo
hope you can help me, I bought a 811 bobcat backhoe attachment at online auction. the unit looks in excellent shape but every cylinder was leaking, so I change all the sills on all six cylinders but now when I work it for about 15 min. the hydraulic lines get very hot and pap out of the machine hookups .. not an expert on this I search and search as much is could on you tube. my search went to this cylinder that start getting hot, and follow the line to the valve that has the controls . don't know what to do!
Sounds like a tagging system like aviation should be implemented. RED: unserviceable, GREEN: repairable, YELLOW: serviceable. Helps cut down confusion.
