Best decision I made was to switch back to a Samsung
im a full time mechanic but watched this for no reason
I went to warranty battery two years before it expired, the shop tested my battery and it was bad. Before I took the replacement one I had them test that one too. Loo and behold it was bad too! We went through three battery’s before one came back as good. It took several hours of my time but I have an 8 year battery that I’ve been using for going on 14 years now.
Why did he have screws in the new batteries posts?
So the battery is to far gone for the epsom-trick?
“Pacifically”. Say that in my house and you go to hopspital in an ambliance!
Well I'm pretty sure my OEM battery is right dickered on a 6 year old car, gotta get a new one. Should i go with the Kirkland Lead Acid or the Energizer AGM that'd 100 bucks more? Supposedly the warranty on the energizer is 5 years 100%. Live in Edmonton and its for our main car so we really need one that will have the good crankage when its dick shrinkingly cold.
I knew it as
1. Curse swear and hammer the steering wheel with both hands
2. Fight with hood latch for an awkward amount of time
3. Put battery back in battery tray and swear you'll bolt it in one day
4. Twist connections hoping that works
5. Jump with charger on 265 amp start mode
6. Realize its a bad connection
7. Hammer all contacts tighter
8. Realize one wont tighten
9. Put in Robertson wood screws between post and battery connecter or whatever the fuck its called
10. Flip out because car still won't start, while denying you need a battery
11. Call friend to jump car
12. Drive car with portable battery booster in back seat till receiving a box 1
13. Buy 500 dollar beater and repeat
I can't believe this video does not show a clamp and post cleaning brush, but worse putting a grease onto the batter terminals, instead of over them!!!
(I must not be "in" on these jokes above)
Common battery hardware sizes:
Ford: everything is 8mm
Dodge: everything is 10mm
GM: terminals are 10mm, hold down at bottom is a 13mm.
Yota, nissan, honda, hyundai, keeeeeya are usually all 10mm.
-parts store guy.
C Tire gave full replace for their AGM 5yr guarantee battery. I was just as surprised.
I had an old friend who was obsessed with cars. All hed do is talk about them or watch youtube about them… He didn't know how to change a battery till I showed him.
"Which side do you take off so you don't get shocked?"
