The Starrett tap drill chart has decimal equivalents on it. I printed off some 8.5×11" ones for in the shop. Even has some metric and pipe sizes. Reply

Metric is so freaking easy. When thread isn't in life or death I just go ~0.5 mm down when drilling or whatever I find in my case. M5 thread?4.1mm pop rivet drill. M6 thread?5.5mm drill. M8 thread?7.5mm drill. 99% of my "tapping" are made in stainless. Reply
Gaa! I just did this last week, running in from the garage to get on the computer with greasy hands to see what size bit was the next closest to an "F" !!! Ordered four. Thanks AvE! Reply
