When are you going to take apart one of those DJI drones? I have a spark quad copter that my brother crashed and I am wondering what type of plastic the unibody is made of.
Oh wow, I never noticed that Pisten Bully model at the back of the bench before. I drive one similar to that but for snowmobile trails so we don't need the huge winch on the back and we have a drag instead of the tiller. You feel pretty invincible driving those things though.
@AvE I enjoy watching your vids and am impressed with your range of knowledge in pretty damn much anything mechanical under the sun. I am sure you have worked in many different trades and would like to hear your story of what you have done over the years to obtain all of this knowledge. I am new to the channel so if you already have such a video please let me know. Thanks and cheers 🍻
I work in the nuclear decommissioning industry as a robotic systems engineer – i build and modify both CoTS and custom built drones for radiation surveying, drone exploration and mapping. Blah blah blah yeah yeah. Fun fact – We can't use DJI equipment because periodically, the drones send a massive stream of meta data with gps info, flight characteristics AND greyscale still images of whatever the FPV camera has been viewing, regardless of if it was recording, back to servers in China. Your intro was pretty accurate. There are ways around this, e.g use the DJI app on an Ipad without a cellular modem, and delete the app and metadata after each use. Crazy though. DJI claim that it's for warranty claims, as they can "supposedly" tell if the aircraft was being flown in conditions it's not meant to, before it crashed. There's some truth to this, i know some people that had a Matrice 210 drop out of the sky and pretty much explode into a million pieces (due to the force of impact) because it was "hit by a seagull"….. had nothing to do with it raining when they were flying and the drone not being in any way waterproof.
God rest that good dog’s soul. Sorry brother
absolutely beautiful opening
I’m reading most of the comments as if AvE was writing them.

Great video but if I’m being honest I clicked on it because I was hoping it was a review of that snow cat let’s get a tear down on that

WTF Just happened?
I just got the same camera. The wireless module is a good add, as well as the action cam mount and thumb wheel.
