What happened to the spindle runout and spindle bearings after the operation ?
That first attempt is the epitome of how I think my experience will go in anything; Possible in theory, just not by me
I raised my eyebrow thinking it said hebrew friction welding
What a mess
thumbs up from rotterdam cheers
try this again but zip cut the ceramic of a spark plug in half, weld it to a lathe tool holder and go to town with that piece on a hunk of steel tube!
How am I watching this on Canada day 6 years later… weird
Cungsten Targide,
The faster the better
sure it welds two piece together with 0.001 % of the strength of a standard weld from a 20lb 200$ MIG welder… but it only takes a 20 ton vice and a 1000$ milling machine !
You my friends are going to glad you tuned into this!
Y did u not just use a file? Instead of a drill
So would you call this science friction?
"Butt welding"
so is he achieving melt trough with friction stir welding??? hmmm
"philip pateks" reeeeeeeeeeee
i felt a great deal of discomfort watching the camera rattle. I felt like i needed my own bunker, like the one the nuclear scientists hide for cover in
Have you tried heating up the thing-magig before frection wielding?
