It's called hollow ground. Wheeler makes a set of hollow ground gunsmithing drivers. They are hollowed ground and softer metal so the tool breaks before fecking up the screws. DeWalt also makes their drill bits hollowed ground
The rough (unpolished) area is for artistic effect. It's beautiful.
This is probably the least bit interest vijeo to woman.. unless its (posible) that other little bitty "tool"
AvE, PB Swiss screwdrivers have a hollow tip grind.
They are by far the best screwdrivers on the market, definitely check them out!
