Yesterday i found a contactor at work that predates safety. Very simple but very not safe compared to today's standards. It was made for cutting in or cutting off 1 leg of a 208V system with a 24V coil. Nothing covering the 208V connections or the switch portion. So essentially a single pole single throw switch. I was amazed because I can't think of any systems in my work place that would use that contactor anymore
