Single Point Incremental Forming is an uncommon CNC technique for sheet metal. It is well suited for making prototypes of curved surfaces. I test out the idea and gauge the minimum requirements.

Love gin and juice in the background.
Any updates on this proof of concept? I watched the Desktop Metal Youtube video and had a few ideas and then found your video. Seems that Desktop Metal uses a roller ball tip, similar to a ball point pen. Some type of hard plastic or 3d printed form would work better than wood.
BEST patina on copper comes from horse urine.
I dig your style ๐๐ป
This dude is a riot ๐ Fun to watch (listen) keep it up!
Paint brush & a bowl of soy sauce, copper turns green in a flash. Old Japanese artist taught me (stained glass, etc. ๐ฅท
What a wordsmith this guy…
Bit late but what if you just used a firm Styrofoam instead of wood underneath sheet? Then you might not have to route out the words, you could just press into it with more force and maybe a bit of heat.
Is there not simply a way to run the machine without the bit spinning? Seems it doesn't need to in the first place. Sure there are probably things in the firmware checking for that but it should be simple enough to trick them right?
Great work lol
I know this is an older video, what was the chem mix you used to get the verdigris? looks amazing, thanks!
Repusse and chasing. We had to learn it in art class. Never learnd how to spell it though.
