With regards to speed control flow direction, I worked for SMC some time ago and did several pneumatic courses and built electro pneumatic cabinets and projects and there was an easy saying…. There is no doubt, always meter out

35 years ago in h.s., I worked in a box factory that made ring boxes for jewelry companies…the process was 99% automated…but they paid these fat old ladies to sit on wooden bar stools in front of the machines, cuz occasionally when gluing the felt on the cardboard, the machines would jam up and they needed a human there to clear the jam…must've been one long miserable life for the old biddies.

I wish there was a PG13 version of your videos. I mentor a HS robotics team and can't share links to your stuff due to the F bombs. Not a big deal, just sharing an observation. Thanks for what you do.

Sometimes the issue is when not to press the button or pull the lever.. That's often way harder to automate, so instead of automating it they hire some schmuck who gets bored, and pushes it when they shouldn't because it's n seconds after the last push.

Result, same damage plus fired employee, when the person who deserves firing is the one who didn't do the automation.

Whoa! Mind blown! Controlling outlet side is like using ground to control a circuit.

Oh such beauty in basic pnuematics. I'm an EE/ME and do design. PLC and valves are my bread and butter, well that and magic pixies what carry 1s and 0s.

For those who do not know. The Wife and the Daughter is the equivalent to Mine management. ie. No swearing… Right on the coal-face, totally different story.
