A little bit of workshop dickery to get out of a dilly of a pickle. How to sharpen oddball stuff like hair clippers? Lap them! Fine sand paper, a piece of glass and light pressure is all you need.

Ball hair approved
Remember to do both pieces. Mineral oil is a good lube for them, some actually come with a small bottle.
When hand lapping hydraulic pump motor parts was taught to spin 90 degrees every few figure 8 to cover every thing equally
AvE Sir, thanks, could you tell how many minutes did you spend to sharpen it? 2 min or say 6 min? so 600 grits is better for these things and knife too? what about nail clipers I have one that I am attached to.. thanks
Out of acute cheapness I cut my own hair and I haven't even popped for an expensive hair clipping machine like you have. I do lap my scissors a few times a year even though the cost of quality emery paper is somewhat prohibitive.
I agree about the sentimental value , i have an old German clippers that is working perfectly till this day , it's really worth keeping and fixing and also agree about the the haircuts price , like i need 2 haircuts a week and 4 beard trims , i dunno about other places but that's a whole amount of money here in Syria
I just wanted to learn how to sharpen my clippers and OMG, I had to gather myself multiple times from laughing so hard from the bantering. This was one heck of a skit I tell ya. Oh, and I did actually learn something from this so thanks for that.
Rinoa is not kindred she is scared and weak
Did u use glass or plexiglass? Was it water u use on 600 grit sandpaper? I used 220 grit and 150 grit on my clipper blades and it did nothing.
Enjoy your videos but am wondering why you didn't sharpen both of the blades.
Thank you!!!
