Gon na show you how to splice an o-ring we blew a seal. I swear it's just frost on my mustache. This works good in the field. You can also do it in your pegboarded fancied up perpetually clean shop in which you do no work, but you managed to get away from the harpy.

Nonetheless, i'm watching you. Basically, you take the old o-ring. You match it up length for length and you give her a little breast square as you can yeah just to let you know it's more art than science. You give it a little bit extra tightness.

There cut her straight as can be acetone smoke them. If you got them also gloves help to not get acetone under your derma again smoke them. If you got them little dab of stupid glue, i use the 404 loctite 20 bucks a tube. You get what you pay for.

You know a weird flex, but, like so see it's on a bit of a handle, but the beautiful thing is about nitrile rubber. Is that it's pliable see it opened up on the bottom side of that o-ring. It's not ready to go to work. It doesn't want to so we'll give it another little shot.

You don't want the big gob site, just dab it off and we'll try again do the old tug test per usual. If it comes in your hand, it ain't no good at all.

With all the work pulling a hydraulic cylinder off and disassembling it, I'd try my best to find the correct o-ring.

Don't do this with your scuba diving equipment – and only for things where you are not there anymore when it fails..

Oh god please don't do this on high pressure systems………..My o-ring boobstones and coffins will rise from the grave if the o-rings in my scuba spanks and air ruffles find out I've been trying to resurrect their dead cousin's of uncles of grandfather's friends…..

I watched your video just to let you know that if you cut that Loctite open you will find there is a single tube inside of there and the rest of it is air so what you paid for is a small size tube of super glue inside of a big plastic container all super glue are also made of the same thing you don't always get what you pay for because you got ripped off

Only need to acetone if you glue your fingers, or if your applying glue to an old cute. if your cut is fresh and clean then just put the glue on. Dont overdo the glue. If you get too much on flick off the excess.

Just to give everyone peace of mind, this is the same guy that made the o-rings for the space shuttle Challenger.

A good tactic is to collect (new) o-rings in the same way as you collect rusty old nuts & bolts. I’ve been doing that since I was 30 or so, (62 now) and so rarely have to make one. Just keep them all in a big plastic bag.

We do this at work. I was hoping you'd have a super secret trick, but it's the same way we do it haha

Locktite 404 costs 40.4 times as much as a comparable product, super glue.
    Now you know their system.
