You'd be surprised, well maybe not, at how many vehicles and pieces of equipment are exactly this way with the filter inside the gas tank. Most of which the only way to replace is to replace the gas tank.
Car companies have been doing the same thing for at least a decade. My Toyota didn't have a proper fuel filter. Bad gas? Replace the injectors…
Theses are the only times I believe in communism to force big companies to do things to the consumers advantage. This is when these big corpos screw themselves, they go too far and invoke the french revolutionist in all of us. You see this in video gaming all the time. They are the microcosm of the real world so do not dismiss the "just games, just a game company ". For a decade Autodesk wanted to make their engineering software to be on line only, but in the 2008 the company CEO said they did not think their customers would except this. But then after years of games being "required on line only" now all those children grew up accepting this on line only software. So now they accept "serious" on line only software like Autocad and MS office programs…

Honestly could've been worse. Worked on some motorcycles with filters in the tank.
Those designers must have thought, screw the mechanics in particular, put the pump on the bottom of a 25L tank which is full 90% of the time you have to change a filter and make it only come out one way with a specific combination of twisting and swearing.
I believe these original atlas crapco rockhose straps will skyrocket in value over the next few years as they become rarer. Really disappointing to see all the new ones are just "epiroc" straps. Whichever marketing fuckhead over in sweden thought "epiroc" was a good idea deserves a bullet, and a kick in the nuts. Stop trying to make epiroc happen, its not going to happen
Most new cars have no fuel filter at all anymore except the sock in the tank. Its ridiculous. My guess is it's to help keep the projected cost of ownership down since there's no fuel filter to be changed at regular intervals.
Dave is not a bad man. Everyone needs to understand that 99% of this creation has been made to fall by a few. Do not worry, I have adjusted source to grade on a curve because of this.
