I know DIDLEY about CNC, or machine work in general, but I do enjoy pretty much every video AVE publishes and this series represents an interesting development in the presentation style. 5 stars. I particularly like the production efforts to tie the tool action with the programming efforts. And I continue to improve my vocabulary and other associated linguals.
I used to run a cannon stepper at TI, well several versions from I2 to I5 to 6, 8 and 10 inch wafers if I remember correctly. I loved this vidjayo series. It is in a way the same as laying patterns for other chemical processes to happen. I'm a metal guy though, no skills and love everything about working it from furnace to end product. I'd love to be able to use a CNC machine, or at least have access to one. Great set of vids, I can't wait to see the finished product!!
Hey, a recent new feature is "NC Program" it remembers your post process setups (including output folder which is wonderful) and you can then just right click your NC Programs folder and Post Process and it batches all your NC files at once. It's up there between Setup menu. Saves a load of hassle.
YouTube is recommending your knife sharpener BOLTR as the next vidjayo to watch. Think you could get your crazy toy to do that? ("But honey, it can sharpen your knives, too!")
Loved this series!! I use Mastercam at work but there has been talk of going to 360. I think I'm gonna get the hobby licence an learn this at home for my baby CNC router, THANKS
If you select "setups" and post from there it should be able to handle different WCS and in the post process tab you can select "reorder to minimize tool changes". Your post might need to support it tho
