This is fascinatink. I'm a software guy with a new grizzly chinesium milling machine, so I'm tryin' to learn me what I can. I've never heard of these kinds of mechanisms at all and I like to think of myself as pretty tinkerific.
I'd've assumed you'd want your input lever assembly to PULL on the moving table portion of the compliant structure rather than PUSH on it, since those thin parts under compression could maybe buckle a bit – does it matter?
