Your just going too fast with the plasma cutter, slow your travel speed, and make sure the output sparks are going straight down, thus tells you how fast to got, straight down =good, angled back =too fast angled forward and backwards =too slow. Hope that helps
Hey just so ya know, those E7018 rods are meant for AC units. Not sure what you're running but when i was learning to weld they were the only 7018s I could get from crappy tire and they do not seem to get the best results with DC. When i switched to non-"E" 7018s and got much better welds
