Ahh, the heady bouquet of summer, students.
Oh go ahead and show me what you were doing: that's okay, we're gon na i'll! Put you up on pole pot, you'll, be famous okay, you're on the ho and you're greasing the pins. What year of university, are you in second year now of uh? What what are you taking engineering.
As an enginerd turned fabricobbler (weld and machine). I too was an ape swinging a bone at stuff I didn't understand.
You just gave the best example why engineering students should have to take machine shop or a fabrication shop class.
Early on would design things, then say "wtf was I thinking?" When it came time to make them.
Hey AvE, been watching your channel since the beginning before I even spoke english cause cool images, I was wondering, I am a mechanical engineering international student in Quebec and I'd say am pretty mechanically inclined ( or at least passionate for sure), can I come work for you next summer ? I am a hard worker, I learn quickly and do what am told
Hahaha, 2nd year & he’s already got a grease gun in his hand …my kid’s doing the masters program: Elec. Eng. @ UBCO & the only grease gun he’s seen, has been in my hands. I’d give him a screwdriver, but he might stab himself! All kidding aside, I’ll teach him to find the nipple.. lol
seriously, don't laugh. we are doomed. half these kids can't find their way out of a wet paper bag on account of the solution manuals is not available online. the other half can barely write their name legibly.
OK so…he's trying to grease up the set pin but isn't using the correct nozzle to do so? And he just placed the grease fitting up against the pin and hoped that him just muscling the fitting would be enough to grease the pin?
Did I catch that correctly?
Make sure he uses 100% elbow grease, always remember to top off the headlight fluid, and tighten the vesuvius valve, but make sure to use a left handed wrench, it's very important
They asked some U of Toronto engineering students how a toilet flushed years ago… the amount of answers saying there was a valve that opened and the water drained out was hilarious
Me – 1st year pipe fitting apprentice
Journeyman – attaches test pipe to system to put pressure on system to check for leaks.
The Test pipe – Hanging down about 2 feet above the floor with a 90° fitting coming off it
Journeyman – "Hey apprentice blow into the pipe and see if you get any blowback so we don't waste time putting pressure on it."
Me – Eager to show I'm a go getter kneels down to blow into the pipe oblivious
Journeyman – taking picture and laughing hysterically ….
Good times…. good times….
Ya sure he got e'nuff in there? Are ya sure ya got the right lubricacity? Maybe that stuff ya got isn't skookum e'nuff? Go get that turn on center grease … it's right next to the lathe … The Old Tony TOC lube.
I mean this one was ripe for cultivating 28.35gms more of the giggly stuff out of it. Squeeze that one good an proper.
